Punganur On Fire With Chandrababu's Visit!

Former Chief Minister, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is busy visiting the irrigation projects in the Rayalaseema region. During his tour, he is visiting the projects and questioning the ruling party for lack of development. However, his recent visit turned intense with an aggressive fight between the two sides.

Tension gripped the Punganur town in Chittoor district with Chandrababu’s visit. When he was on his way to Punganur, the YSRCP activists reportedly raised slogans that did not go well with the TDP activists who gathered in big numbers for the roadshow.

Things escalated quickly when both sides started fighting each other. Seeing the tense situation, the cops stepped in. However, they did not stop and cops were also attacked. A few police vehicles were also torched. There was a chaotic situation all over the place with this.

As per the media reports, the cops used tear gas and fire in the air. The situation is said to have been brought under control partially with a lathi charge. A few people sustained injuries in the mishap and a few vehicles were also damaged.

Stones were also pelted during the clashes between the two sides that left many injured. It is also said the situation became more violent after Chandrababu left the place.

Earlier, a few YCP leaders said that they will not let Chandrababu enter Punganur. Despite this, Chandrababu going there increased the political heat. Both TDP and YSRCP activists clashed violently and the cops intervened.
