Indian-origin New Zealand Player Gives WC A Fiery Start!

Blackcaps New Zealand started the World Cup run on a positive note by winning the first match. Despite playing against Defending Champions England, New Zealand dominated the game and won the match by nine wickets. The match was a one-sided one.

Young New Zealand player Rachin Ravindra (123) gave a flying start to the World Cup as his heroics helped the team crush England by nine wickets. Rachin had an unbeaten partnership with Devon Conway with 273 runs which is the fourth-highest in World Cup history.

The young player showed his ability to hit big hits on the big stage by attacking the lethal England team. His heroic knock kept everyone talking about him. Rachin Ravindra not only made a brilliant century but also broke the record set up by fellow black cap player Devon Convoy.

Rachin got an opportunity to play in the absence of skipper Kane Williamson. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands and smashed a superb century. Looking at the form of Rachin, we have to admit that New Zealand is now among the hot favorites.
