Will Rahul Sipligunj enter politics?

Will another popular film personality and folk singer from Telangana take a plunge into the political arena ahead of the 2024 elections? If the buzz we are hearing serves us right, then popular singer, Big Boss winner and Natu Natu fame Rahul Sipligunj could enter the political fray in the 2023 elections.

Rahul Sipligunj, a folk singer from the Old City of Hyderabad, is a popular film singer and performer. He has deep political connections. He is known to be quite active in the Bhagyanagar Ganesh festival and also is known to be quite close to BJP sympathizer Ambarpet Shankar. He has deep links with some pro-Hindu organisations working in Telangana.

However, sources say that the Congress had approached him with a proposal to contest from some key seat in Telangana. Sipligunj is said to have given his nod to the proposal and is said to be preparing ground for the same. Sipligunj is from the most backward community and that too could also help him in a big way.

There is also a buzz that two film personalities - producer and film distributor Dil Raju and actor Nithin – too are said to be planning to enter politics. These two could have a face-off in Nizamabad. Both the leaders are from Nizamabad district and have made it big in the film industry.
