The political heat is increasing in Telangana due to the Lok Sabha elections. The ruling Congress wants to prove its strength in the elections and the opposition BRS wants to bounce back. The party is holding crucial meetings with the leaders to prepare for the Lok Sabha elections.

Recently BRS chief KCR chaired a key meeting with the MPs and directed them to be the voice of the state in the Parliament. Ahead of the elections, the BRS faced a big blow as a senior leader resigned from the party. He might take the Congress route soon.

Thatikonda Rajaiah, who worked as the first deputy Chief Minister of Telangana gave a big blow to BRS. The former MLA is said to have pinned high hopes on the Warangal MP seat. As there is no assurance on this, he made the big decision.

It is said that former Station Ghanpur MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah is in touch with the Congress leaders and he might get a green signal for his joining in Congress soon.

In the 2023 elections as well, Rajaiah was not given a ticket as Kadiyam Srihari was picked over him. He burst into tears when he was not given a ticket. In response, he said that he would follow the instructions of the party leadership and work for the party. It was also reported that he was assured the MP ticket. However, there is no official confirmation on this.

As he was not given the clarity on the Warangal MP seat Rajaaih took the big call. He is ending a long-standing association of around 12 years. After a long time, he is going back to his original fold of Congress.

Looking at this from BRS point of view, it wants to bounce back in the Lok Sabha elections as it lost the general elections. With this, it doesn't want to take any risk in picking the candidates. This might have made the opposition party not give assurance to Rajaiah on the ticket.
