However, he informed the CID that he could not attend due to the promotion of his upcoming movie Saree which is set to release on the 28th of this month. RGV requested eight weeks' time and assured the authorities that he would be available after that period.
He conveyed this message through WhatsApp to CID Inspector Tirumala Rao and CID Chief Ravi Shankar. His legal representative, Nani Babu clarified that RGV was unable to attend due to health reasons. Today, RGV’s lawyer personally visited the CID office in Guntur and formally requested an extension.
The CID issued notices to RGV in the last based on a complaint filed by Bandaru Vamsi Krishna, the Telugu Yuvatha state spokesperson. The complaint was related to RGV’s 2019 film, "Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu", which allegedly hurt certain community sentiments. The CID directed him to appear for questioning on February 10 at the Guntur CID office.
Recently, RGV was interrogated for nearly 9 hours at the Ongole Rural Police Station for another case. Shortly after, he received another notice from CID regarding this new case.
