Ahead of elections, RGV pokes TDP with 'Vyuham'

It's election time in Andhra Pradesh and can maverick and controversial film maker Ram Gopal Varma be far behind. Controversy's favourite child is now said to be getting ready with a film that will make TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu squirm uncomfortably in his seat.

RGV had tormented Chandrababu Naidu during the 2019 elections with his Lakshmi's NTR. The film explored the role of Chandrababu Naidu in backstabbing late NT Rama Rao. It also exposed Chandrababu's opposition to NTR's marriage with Lakshmi Parvathi. The film has caused great discomfiture to Chandrababu in that election year.

This time too, he is coming up with a politically loaded flick called Vyuham. The film has a role that has uncanny similarities with Chandrababu Naidu. As expected, the TDP leaders saw red and began attacking RGV with strongly worded statements. They took to social media to vent their ire.

Observers say that like last time, the TDP has virtually fallen into RGV's trap by entering into wordy duel and troll game with him. Already the likes of Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao have launched attacks on Varma. This suits RGV well and the TDP will find itself on a sticky wicket.
