What is the use of Rayapati Sambasiva Rao is the debate that has been doing rounds in the Guntur district. He had a big history that is lost now. He shined big time when he was with the Congress. After the state bifurcation, he joined the TDP and won as the Narasaraopet MP. He lost the 2019 elections. Since then, he has been staying out of focus. But he often makes sensational comments.

Rayapati was restricted to a wheelchair due to his ill health. His political influence was lost long back. Rayapati wants to make his son Ranga Rao either MP or MLA. However, we see no opportunities for this. His arch-rival Kanna Lakshminarayana joined the TDP and was appointed as the in-charge of Sattenapalli. We have to see the in-charge as the candidate for the next elections. That's why Rayapati is angry at Chandrababu and Kanna.

A debate is going on which says that Rayapati is looking at the YCP. YCP doesn't require Rayapati now. There is no benefit of him joining YCP except for unwanted disputes. There are YCP MLAs in Pedakurapatu, Sattenapalli, and Narasaraopet. The second-tier leaders are also there to give tickets. An insecurity occurs if he is welcomed into the party now. This will lead to issues between the leaders.

There is also a talk in the party that what is the need to invite Rayapati into the party fold when this would result in issues. A few leaders say that discussion is also unwanted when there is no benefit with him. Many say that Rayapati can work in YCP when he doesn't have a good time with TDP. Leaving aside what is happening with the party, anti-talks are going on in the district against him. However, there is no clarity on whether the talks reached CM Jagan or not. It is said that Rayapati is making moves through Palnadu chief Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad who is his disciple. Let us wait and see what happens next.
