By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Dec 2023 9:47 AM GMTThe grand old Congress party had finally achieved the dream of coming to power in divided Telangana. It took a decade to reach the goal. With the voters giving the party a super mandate, Congress went past the magic figure and is all set to form the government.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee(TPCC) chief Revanth Reddy who is one of the main forces behind the big win was selected as the Chief Minister. Putting an end to the suspense the Congress High Command picked Revanth Reddy as the Chief Minister of the state.
Revanth Reddy is all set to become the second Chief Minister of the divided state. The Congress party is making massive arrangements for the oath-taking ceremony. Key leaders from the party are likely to grace the ceremony of Revanth Reddy.
As per the media reports various dignitaries were invited to the ceremony from various states including Chief Ministers and former Chief Ministers. The invitations were sent to them. Families of Telangana martyrs were also invited.
The likes of Tamil Nadu CM Stalin, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, BRS chief KCR and others were invited.
It has almost become a norm that whenever a leader takes oath as Chief Minister, leaders from other states are invited. We have seen this when Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the CM in divided AP. A big ground was picked for the ceremony.
It looks like the same is going to happen with the case of Revanth Reddy. A big list of leaders were sent invitations and we have to see how many among the attendees would show up at the ceremony.
Martyrs had a big role to play in the Telangana state formation movement. To not ignore them and to honour their contributions their families might have been invited. Revanth Reddy is all set to take oath tomorrow.
