Revanth Reddy Picked As Chief Minister By Congress Leadership?

Making the exit poll surveys true the Telangana Election results saw a power shift. The two-time winner Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) which managed to show a stronghold on the Hyderabad region lost the elections with Congress coming to power after a long gap of ten years.

With the Congress party coming to power the party supporters broke into celebrations. The situation also raised the doubt of who would be the Chief Minister to lead the state. A few leaders are in the Chief Minister race.

Media reports now say that Revanth Reddy is likely to become the Chief Minister of the state. We might hear an official word on this from the party soon and the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee(TPCC) is likely to take oath as the new Chief Minister this evening as per the reports.

A crucial meeting was held today with the winning Congress MLAs by the Congress Legislature Party (CLP). During the same Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Revanth had moved a proposal which put the sole responsibility of selecting CLP leader on Congress national chief Mallikarjun Kharge. AICC observer DK Shivakumar and AICC in-charge for Telangana Manikrao Thakare were also present during the crucial meeting.

Considering various factors the Congress leadership is said to have picked Revanth Reddy as the Chief Minister face and we might hear an official word on this soon.

Revanth was the backbone behind the Congress party’s big win. As the state chief, he gave his best efforts. Ahead of the elections, he gave a call to the leaders who left the Congress for others. This gave a good result with leaders coming back to the fold.

This led to the party getting strong and winning more seats. Revanth Reddy was very aggressive in the campaign as he highlighted many aspects against the ruling BRS.

Another big aspect is that Revanth Reddy was successful in bringing all the leaders under one roof and he made the senior leaders work together for the party. All these factors might have made the leadership pick Revanth Reddy.
