In the World Test Championship and World Cup 2023 India came very close to winning but fell short of the winning line. Many say that had there been one player in the team maybe the situation would have been different and we would have lifted the glorious trophies.

The magical player who missed the two tournaments is Rishabh Pant. The left-handed batsman known for his attacking gameplay showed what he could do with the bat in the Australia and England series. But he missed the big events due to the injuries he suffered in the accident.

The attacking batsman recalled his accident and what doctors told him. He said that the doctors called him lucky despite meeting with an accident as he did not sustain serious injuries even though he was bedridden due to the accident.

Recalling the accident and the following events Rishabh Pant said that he thought everything was over and his time in the world would end soon. He even said that he started developing thoughts of letting it go with the injury and he focused more on the recovery. In his recent interaction with Star Sports, Rishabh Pant said that he was cut off from the world to focus on recovery and he is doing ok now.

Recalling the accident and the treatment he underwent, the Indian player took a moment to appreciate Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar who saved him by bringing him out of the car just before the SUV caught fire. Pant said that initially he needed other’s help to do even day-to-day activities and he feels he got a second life with this.

Pant met with a massive accident in December 2022. When he was going to his hometown from the national capital Delhi. He met with an accident and was rushed to the hospital. First, he was taken to a hospital in Dehradun and later moved to Mumbai.
