India’s wait for lifting the ICC World Cup has been a longer one. Fans pinned high hopes that we would be the World Champions in the home tournament in 2023 but in vain. After remaining unbeaten throughout the match India lost the finals. Fans are now looking at the T20 World Cup.

India won the maiden edition of the T20 in 2007 and since then we have not lifted the trophy. We reached finals and semifinals once. But luck did not favour us. Talking about the ongoing T20 World Cup India started the tournament on a good note.

India started its journey in the World Cup with a comfortable win against Ireland. After restricting the opponent to a mere 96 in 16 overs, India chased the target in 12 overs. Run Machine Virat Kohli lost his wicket early. But skipper Rohit Sharma shined with a half-century.

With the dominant win, Rohit Sharma added a few records to his name in the T20s. This is his 42nd win as the skipper highest for any Indian captain. In the process, Rohit Sharma surpassed Mahendra Singh Dhoni who has 41 wins to his name.

Rohit Sharma who struggled with his form in the IPL is back in form with style and he added a few records to his name. He became the third player to go past the 4000-run mark in T20s. Hitman also has 1000 runs in T20 World Cups to his name now. Rohit Sharma is now part of 300 international wins. He is the third Indian to do so after Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

Rohit Sharma is called the Hitman of Indian cricket as he can effortlessly hit the ball for a maximum. Living up to the expectation he added a glorious record to his name with 600 maximums in international cricket.

Rohit Sharma’s form is very crucial to India and he can take away the game from the opponents. In the first match of the tournament, he came back to form. India will face arch-rivals Pakistan on the 9th of this month. Fans are eagerly waiting to see some fireworks from his bat.
