RTA Mints 18 Lakhs With Fancy Number Bidding!
It is said that, at a recent bidding TS 11Z 9999 number plate was bid for as much as Rs 9,99,999 and an educational society bought this.

Few people have a passion for fancy numbers. Be it numerology or any other reason, people prefer getting fancy numbers. They won't even shy away from spending big amounts to get the number. Sometimes, the money the fancy numbers get will be more than vehicles.
Seeing the craze for fancy numbers, the RTA authorities will hold a bidding and those who quote high prices will get the number. RTA is said to have struck gold in recent bidding with around Rs 10 lakh.
It is said that, at a recent bidding TS 11Z 9999 number plate was bid for as much as Rs 9,99,999 and an educational society bought this. This speaks volumes about the craze for fancy numbers among the customers and they can spend a heavy amount. In total, RTA earned Rs 18 lakhs.
TS 11 FA 0001 and TS 11 FA 0011 number plates were reportedly sold at Rs 3 lakh and Rs 1.55b lakh respectively. In total, RTA earned 18 lakhs which is quite high.
Not just the common people, but even celebrities have a fondness for getting fancy numbers. Young Tiger NTR who is enjoying the Pan-India image needs a mention here. All his car numbers have 9999 number plates. The fascination runs in his family and his grandfather Sr NTR and father Harikrishna are also said to be fans of the 9999 number.
