Terror Attack Kills 60, Biggest In 2 Decades!

The superpower nation Russia faced a big jolt as a concert at a Shopping Mall turned violent with a surprise attack. A few gunmen entered the place all of a sudden and started fire. The issue became a sensation and grabbed the attention of the world. A few dozens of people died while around 150 people were injured.

The City Hall in Moscow saw tense scenes as a few gunmen opened fire. The incident left around 60 dead and 145 injured. It is said that five gunmen were involved in the attack who carried automated weapons. Reports also say that detonated explosives were also involved in the attack.

People who visited the shopping mall might have not thought that they are yet to face the worst scenes in their lives. Many say that the impact of the attack was high as it was totally packed with people as they could not escape easily.

The experts say that this is the biggest attack that has happened in Russia in the past 20 years. Back in the 1990s, a terrorist attack left over 200 people dead. After that, the recent attack is dubbed as the biggest one.

Looking at the previous attack, back in 1999 a series of attacks rocked the nation as five blasts were reported. In total, 293 people were killed in the attacks. In 2002 as many as 130 were killed. This happened at a theatre.

Russia swung into action and launched an investigation. The probe is underway and more details are awaited. However, the reason behind the attack is not known yet. But American media outlet CNN claimed that ISIS took responsibility for the attack and the gunmen escaped from the spot.
