However, he could not get inside due to tight security at the location. Sources confirmed the attempt was made before the attack on Saif Ali Khan.
After the failure at Mannat, the attacker shifted his target. He moved to Saif Ali Khan’s residence in the ‘Satguru Sharan’ building. The attacker was able to enter because of weak security. He reached the 12th floor where Saif lives and entered the actor’s son Jeh's room. He was caught hiding by a house help. A struggle broke out which alerted Saif.
Saif rushed to the room and confronted the attacker. The attacker stabbed Saif six times with a sharp object. Saif suffered serious injuries, including a wound near his spine. A 2.5-inch knife was removed during surgery at Lilavati Hospital.
The police later detained the attacker and took him to Bandra Police Station. The attacker had targeted Saif’s family at their home, where Saif, his wife Kareena Kapoor and their two sons were present. The incident left the staff and the actor with injuries.
Saif Ali Khan was rushed to the hospital by his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, after the attack. Doctors said the actor is recovering and is out of danger. The knife had caused severe damage to his spine and a complex surgery was required to repair the injury.
The doctors mentioned that Saif showed great courage during the ordeal. Despite being soaked in blood, he walked into the hospital without a stretcher. He remains in stable condition and further treatment is being done to ensure a full recovery.
