In a shocking turn of events, MLC Kavitha was taken into the ED custody and was produced before the court. The ED conducted raids at her residence earlier last week and took her into custody. This had happened in connection with the much-talked-about Delhi liquor scam.

It is known that the Former Chief Minister’s daughter was sent to remand in the case. Now the case saw a sensational development as the judge who was dealing with the case was transferred reportedly. A replacement was announced.

The Rouse Avenue Court in the national capital is dealing with the case and Judge MK Nagpal has been hearing the petition earlier and Kavitha was sent to the remand in the case. Now the judge was transferred reportedly and Kaveri Baweja will replace Nagpal.

As many as 31 Judges were transferred including Justice Nagpal. The judge has been dealing with the case since the beginning. But the case underwent a big development.

There is no doubt in saying that the Delhi Liquor scam is a sensational case. The case had increased the political heat in Delhi earlier as a few Ministers were sent to jail. With this, the Delhi government had to reshuffle the Cabinet.

The case also raised many eyeballs in Telangana as the then Chief Minister's daughter was named in the case. But the big twist came when the CBI named the accused in the case. Later ED started digging deeper into the case and unearthed key details.

After the raids, Kavitha was taken into custody. In a press release, ED said that Kavitha is involved in paying money to get favours in the liquor policy. The probing agency even said that Kavitha’s associates created obstacles for them during the raids.
