All-rounder Who Entertained Fans Is Now Set To Serve People!

Film stars taking the political route to start a new innings is not new as the trend is very old. Later they served the people. The trend saw a slight change now with athletes taking the route. Having represented the country at the international level they are now working for the people.

In India, there is Veteran player Gautam Gambhir who is serving as the MP. The World-cup winning player who was part of the Indian team that won the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 50-over World Cup, contested the elections as MP and is rendering his services.

Now it's the time for an ace all-rounder from Bangladesh to do this. Having entertained the fans for a long time he is now all set to serve the people. He won the elections as an MP with a big margin and is about to start a new journey.

Bangladesh cricket captain Shakib Al Hasan who is dubbed as one of the best all-rounders in the world contested the elections as MP from the Magura-1 seat. He defeated his opponent with a big margin of 1,50,000 votes. He contested the elections from the ruling party, Awami League which recorded another big win in the elections.

It has to be mentioned here that earlier Shakib Al Hasan took a break from his international career for political activities. He even campaigned for the Awami League party. He even contested the elections in which he recorded a landslide victory.

While Shakib Al Hasan is one of the best all-rounders his team is not having any good run in the tournaments. Under his captaincy, Bangladesh had the worst outing in the recent World Cup hosted by India as it finished at the eighth place.

As he won the elections as MP we have to see if he would announce his retirement or if will he continue as the player and balance his MP post too. Let us wait and see.
