The Australian team had once again shown its dominance and won another World Cup trophy. The team stands tall among the other nations as it has as many as six World Cup trophies so far including the 2023 edition. Australia outplayed hosts India and reached the World Cup glory.

However, what the team achieved went aside as the viral image of Mitchell Marsh created a sensation and started a new controversy. Cricket fans are not happy with what he did as they could not unsee that he placed his feet on the World Cup.

Joining the row Indian speedster Mohammed Shami made some critical comments, He said that what the Australian player did made him hurt and the player made him unhappy with his acts.

Shami was asked to react to what Mitchell Marsh did. In response, he said that he was hurt and the trophy is a thing for which the cricket-playing teams fight."I feel upset. Placing a foot on the trophy, the one every team competes for, the trophy you dream of raising, that didn't make me happy," Mohammed Shami said.

Mohammed Shami had a dream run in the trophy as he ended the tournament as the leading wicket-taker. Despite playing fewer games he stood at the top. In just seven matches he played as many as 24 wickets.

Shami started the tournament with a nag by claiming a fifer in his first match. He was taken into the team when Hardik Pandya was injured. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands and shined big. He claimed three fifers in the tournament which is the record so far.

When New Zealand and India locked horns Shami breathed fire on the field and picked up seven wickets. In the Semi-final match, Shami picked seven wickets and helped India record a memorable win against the Kiwis.
