YS Sharmila joined the Congress fold earlier. After merging her party in the Congress she joined the grand old Congress party and was made the state chief. The former Chief Minister’s daughter is serving as the Andhra Pradesh Congress chief and she was given the ticket for the elections.

Sharmila is the Congress candidate from the Kadapa MP segment. This is the strong fortress of the YCP as sitting MP Avinash Reddy is from the party. Moreover, he is the cousin of Sharmila. It is going to be interesting to watch the cousins taking on each other.

Ever since she was announced as the candidate, Sharmila has been busy making sensational comments. She started the campaign today and she started this on an intense note. She targeted her brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the speech.

YS Sharmila gave reasons behind contesting as the MP in the elections. She said that she is contesting elections as the murderers should not go to Parliament. Sharmila even urged people to defeat Jagan for the betterment of the state.

Sharmila spoke about the YS Vivekananda Reddy case and made sensational comments. She expressed severe dissatisfaction with YCP giving ticket to Avinash Reddy who is the accused in the Viveka case. She asked how this happened.

Not stopping there Sharmila also targeted her brother Jagan and urged the voters to defeat him if the murder politics should stop and the state should develop. She sought a chance from the people as the MP.

This is day one of her campaign and she gave a big start to this by making sensational comments. She not only attacked her cousin Avinash Reddy but also attacked her own brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Her comments added intensity to the political heat.
