Sharmila Wants To Avenge Revanth In Election Battle?

YS Sharmila has been in the news for some time with the possible merger of her party with the grand old Congress party. But the long wait for this did not give any positive outcome. Due to various reasons, this did not happen and YS Sharmila was left at a dead end.

The Telangana Congress leaders opposing Sharmila is dubbed as one of the reasons for this. Compared to others, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee(TPCC) chief Revanth Reddy was very vocal about the joining of Sharmila and openly said they will not allow the Andhra leaders to rule here.

In the wake of reports that Revanth Reddy might have played a big role in stopping her joining, YS Sharmila is said to be gearing up to lock horns with him in elections. It is said that Sharmila wants to contest from the Kodangal Assembly constituency in the Vikarabad district.

Earlier, Revanth Reddy applied for a ticket from the Kodangal seat. This seat is a familiar one for him as he won two times from there. In 2009 and 2014, Revanth Reddy won from Kodangal and could not repeat a hattrick as he lost the elections in 2018. He shifted his focus to the MP segment and emerged victorious.

Looking at the Kodangal seat, the majority of Reddy candidates won the elections and as many as eight candidates from the community won the elections here. Now Sharmila is also said to be gearing up to contest the elections.

Many say that as Revanth Reddy is said to have played a key role in stopping the merger, YS Sharmila might avenge the revenge by taking him on in the Kodangal seat. We might see an interesting fight.
