For the past few years the workplaces have gone through a lot of changes and it appears that the changes continue to take place. Due to the deadly Covid outbreak, Work from home became the new normal with the employers asking the employees to work remotely as a safety measure. Later the hybrid model became popular.

Now a new trend took the center stage in the workplace which is Shift shock. This is not a good trend and the sectors should be worried about this. It is said that employees are facing stress with the trend.

Shift shock is a term that talks about the struggles of employees who could not cope up with the job for reasons like no proper communication between employer and employee and the employers not providing accurate details about the work profile.

It is common for employees to go through transitions in careers as they jump from one sector to another if they see growth. It becomes tough for them in the new role if there is no proper communication. The work environment also plays a key role in this.

If the work environment is good it helps the employees to grow as professionals and help them reach the next stage. When it is not good it not only affects the employees' work but also makes it tough for them to continue.

When proper communication is not made on the job and the work they have to do in the new role it is an issue for the employees as they face a lot of problems. The uncertainty and the confusion is not good for their career growth and their mental health.

If the work environment is not encouraging then it's like adding fuel to the fire which makes the condition even worse. A recent survey said that a major share of employees are facing this with no familiarity with the work. New joiners leave the job due to these issues more compared to experienced employees is what the experts say.
