Jagan Padayatra For 2029 Power? What Sharmila Said?

Former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan has officially communicated that he would be starting on his Pada Yatra in 2027. This has already created a lot of political discussion and the Telugu state and it has now invited a reaction from Jagan’s sister Sharmila.

Congress state president Y S Sharmila strongly reacted to former Chief Minister Y S Jagan’s padayatra. Speaking to the media in Vijayawada, she questioned the purpose and sincerity behind his political walk.

Sharmila said Jagan did the padayatra earlier only to gain power. She reminded people that when he was given power, his performance disappointed the public.

She asked what Jagan actually did for the people after becoming Chief Minister. According to her, he stayed away from the public and did not connect with common citizens. She also questioned whether he was accessible even to leaders from his own party, including MLAs and MPs. Sharmila said many party members themselves struggled to meet him during his time in office.

She further stated that power did not suit Jagan and that his attitude needed to change before asking for another chance. Sharmila criticised him for now planning another padayatra and questioned whom he was trying to fool this time. She said people have already seen his style of governance and will not be misled again.

Sharmila added that politics should be about serving people, listening to their problems, and staying connected with them at all times. She said leaders must earn trust through actions, not just through long walks and promises.
