Knowing that the Supreme Court will pronounce the verdict on the quash petition filed by Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the much-talked-about AP Skill Development Scam, all the focus was on the country's top court. The two-judge bench of the Supreme Court gave the verdict.

Despite the verdict, the suspense is still active. The bench gave a split verdict and referred the petition to the Chief Justice of India. As the petition would be heard by the CJI, we have to see what the top judge would say.

The arguments can be seen as a big blow to Chandrababu as the bench said that remand in the case is valid and they cannot order the quashing of the remand. Despite a split verdict, the two judges backed the remand.

Justice Bose said that 17A applies in the case and the permission should have been sought from the Governor. The inquiry that happened earlier cannot be linked to the arrest. However the remand order cannot be seen as invalid. Just because permission was not taken, we cannot see the order as invalid.

Justice Trivedi opined that 17 A not applies in the case and the case cannot be quashed based on the amendments that came in 2018. The section cannot be a protection for those who commit crime with power in hand.

The two judge bench gave a split verdict as two judges gave different opinions. However, the common point in the arguments is that the two judges said the remand in the case is valid and it cannot be quashed.
