KCR-led BRS which won two consecutive terms in Telangana entered the 2023 elections with a lot of expectations. However, the party could not meet the expectations as it was surpassed by the Congress party. After a long back, Congress came to power in the state.

Having faced a big shock with this the BRS circles wonder how the party can lose the elections with such a big margin despite doing so much and leaving a good mark in the governance. Even the development was good in the second term. However, these factors could not take the party to a win.

There is a point in what the circles are saying. The KCR government did the best it could for the state. A lot of assets were created and the IT blossomed. The IT exports increased over the years and the infrastructure was developed. Water connectivity improved.

Real Estate growth needs a special mention. When the Kokapet lands were auctioned thousands of crores were raised and the experts say that the real sector in the state is one of the best in the country. Real Estate saw a big growth in various regions which is a very good sign. Despite doing all these things BRS could not win any many wonder how.

Political observers say that only one aspect resulted in KCR losing the elections which is the liquor case involving his daughter Kavitha. When her name popped up and she was questioned by the authorities many felt that she might get arrested. Even the BJP leaders said the same.

But the reality was different and Kavitha was not arrested. Even the Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, and MP’s son were arrested and sent to jail. The agencies that were aggressive while dealing with others could not repeat the same with Kavitha.

At one point it was reported that the agencies got enough proof against Kavitha but no action was taken. With this, BRS slowed down a bit in targeting the BJP. There was a popular opinion that both parties might have been compromised. Replacing Bandi Sanjay with Kishan Reddy added fuel to this opinion.

Both in rural and urban areas the opinion saw some momentum. Seeing this, Congress added aggression to the campaign and the people supported it. The political elections management teams are said to be discussing the same during the discussions.
