Somu Veerraju Eyeing This MLA Seat, TDP Leader At Loss?
TDP, Janasena, and BJP finally joined hands for the alliance ahead of Andhra Pradesh politics.
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 March 2024 9:49 AM GMTTDP, Janasena, and BJP finally joined hands for the alliance ahead of Andhra Pradesh politics. The seat sharing between the parties was also confirmed with the Telugu Desam Party getting the most seats. Janasena sacrificed a few seats for the BJP for the upcoming elections.
The BJP is yet to announce the candidates from the seats that were allocated for it. It is said that a few candidates are being considered by the BJP to field them. Out of all one candidate is getting all the attention.
The media reports say that former Chief of AP BJP Somu Veerraju is interested in the Anaparthy constituency and he might get the ticket. There is a talk that he has more chances of getting the seat as part of the alliance.
As the BJP has few leaders in the state Somu might not face competition from others. In this scenario, the TDP leader has to sacrifice the seat leaving all the hard work he did in the constituency.
TDP leader Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy has been very active in the constituency over the years. Having won the 2014 elections from Anaparthy, he could not repeat the same in 2019. As he tasted defeat he wants to bounce back.
He is also taking an active part in the party activities in the constituency. But he is likely to face a jolt with Somu Veerraju likely to get the ticket.
As a talk about this, the local party workers are said to be unhappy. They ask how Reddy can miss a chance despite being active. But the other parties cannot say no to BJP on its demand and the TDP leader might face a jolt.
