Cockroach Party’s Biggest Hope Taken Away: What’s Next?
Social media evolution was so very strong that this cockroach party quickly became the most followed political party in India
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 July 2026 11:00 AM ISTThe current generation of the Indian youth found a new social media platform in the form of the cockroach Janatha party, which started to gain a lot of public significance at one point in time. Social media evolution was so very strong that this cockroach party quickly became the most followed political party in India, and even overtook BJP in just one week.
And now we are something Sonam Wangchuk, standing in support of this cockroach party and launched an hunger strike has been taken away by the Delhi Police.
Wangchuk and the rest of the protests at this event were demanding the immediate resignation of education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, regarding the recent leakage of NEET question paper.
However, just when Sonam was starting to gain momentum with this hunger, strike and people started to actually listen to what was happening, the Delhi Police came into action. They have reportedly taken away this environmental activist who had been one of the main faces in the Ladakh region.
Cockroach party, chief Abhijeet said “At 7 AM, when I stepped out to freshen up, police goons arrived here. They dragged Sonam Sir away while hurling abuse at him. A 60-year-old man, who had been on a hunger strike for 20 days and hadn't eaten a thing was forcibly dragged away by the Delhi Police. We have no idea where they have taken him.”
It is interesting to see such strong action from the Delhi Police on such a sensitive matter, and this comes at a time when this group was planning to March to the parliament on July 20 to intensify the protest.
In a trigger reaction to this, Abhijeet had communicated that he himself will be sitting on a hunger strike as the police have taken away Sonam Wangchuk. This will be the new twist in the case, and they have announced that they marked to the parliament will be happening as scheduled on July 20.
