Younger Son-in-law of noted actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sri Bharat has a good reputation in political and film sides. His family both from his mother's side and father's side and political veterans. They served as the MPs. Sri Bharat tried his luck in elections for the first time in 2019 as MP as the scion of M. V. V. S. Murthi who served as Vizag MP twice.

But he couldn't win the elections in 2019 as Janasena split the votes. As Janasena candidate JD Lakshmi Narayana is from a strong community the votes got split. Considering this, the ruling YCP gave a ticket to Botsa Jhansi who is from the same community. Many say that what the YCP did is a strategic move.

She hails from Vizag and is a well-read person. She served as the MP twice and belongs to the Kapu community. She is a woman. All these aspects are in her favour. Non-locals have been winning the MP seat for the past 40 years. Outsiders are getting the ticket and winning the seat.

The locals are dissatisfied with the trend. YCP understood this. No Kapu leader was given the ticket from the leading parties earlier. Almost four and a half decades back Kommuru Appalaswamy won as the Vizag MP. As a Congress candidate, he won the seat and he belongs to the Kapu community.

No leader from the community won the seat, which is an advantage for the YCP. There are BCs, SCs, STs, and Minorities in the seat. They might support YCP due to the social engineering.

It is said that a few communities are questioning TDP’s choice. Saying that earlier Murthi was given and now his grandson was given they question this. They say that the Kamma population is very small and giving tickets to the community might ignore the aspirations of the strong communities. They question why locals like Bhiputras and North Andhra people are not given seats.

It is said that firms like Uttarandhra Parirakshana Vedika Adhyana Committee are batting for the Bumiputras to get the tickets this time. There are around 18 lakh voters in the segment and the Kapu community accounts for over 3 lakh voters. BCs are close to 5 lakhs. Why tickets are not given to them is the question here.

On the other hand, the observers say that YCP would win at least two Assembly seats out of four under the MP segment. TDP might not win even one seat like in 2019. There is an opinion that there would be a tough fight in Gajuwaka, Bhimili, Vizag East and YCP would dominate the S Kota seat. Considering this, YCP would win the seat.

Considering the experience, Botsa Jhansi is senior to Sri Bharat. He is young and wants to enter the Parliament for the first time. YCP is giving slogans that voting for experienced candidates will help. She has a double PH.D and many say that TDP is facing issues with this. Now we have to wait and how Sr Bharat fares in elections
