Unfortunate: Student Kills Professor In US University?

Even in 2023, the United States of America is facing issues with the growing gun violence. At regular intervals, gun violence incidents are being reported. People living there are fearing the massive rise in such incidents. No matter how tough the laws are, the incidents are not coming down.

Yet again a shocking firing incident was reported from the United States which bleed blood. The recent incident is very concerning as a student is believed to have shot a professor leaving him dead. The shocking incident was reported from a campus which made students and others run in fear.

As per the information that has been coming from the mainstream media, a student of the University of North Carolina who is pursuing his graduation entered his classroom as he does everyone. But this time, he reportedly possessed a firearm. He shot Zijie Yan, who is an associate professor at the same University.

By the time others realized what had happened in front of their eyes, the accused left the classroom. Students, teachers, and others ran frantically in fear. The local cops were informed and they reached the spot and launched a search operation.

After an intense search operation, the accused was arrested in the adjacent area by the cops. It is said that the accused was presented before the court and was sent to prison. The accused is facing charges of first-degree murder and possessing a gun in the educational institution.

Associate Professor Zijie Yan who is 38-year-old has been working with the University for the past few years. Students and other professors expressed their shock over the incident. The classes in the university were cancelled and they all paid tributes to the professor.
