KKR's Dominance: Lifts Trophy By Stopping Aggressive SRH!

Can anyone stop the high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) was the question many head as the IPL 2024 progressed. This speaks volumes about the dominance the team had in the league. The team scored big runs for fun and fans were confident that the Orange team would lift the trophy.

However, SRH fell short of the trophy as it tasted a defeat in the finals. In the SRH vs KKR match SRH was restricted to an easy score and in response, the KKR batsman easily chased the target without any troubles. Thus KKR won its third title in the IPL.

SRH is heavily dependent on openers and if openers fail to score then the team can’t make any big scores. This was proven in the past few matches. Opneors could not score big runs in the last four to five matches.

KKR understood this and did not let the batsmen spread their arms. Both openers were sent back early and this created pressure on other batsmen. They too failed to score runs and SRH was restricted to just 133. It’s KKR’s brilliance that SRH which had the most number of 250+ barely managed to win 113 runs.

Mitchell Starc gave the first blow to SRH by sending back Abhishek Sharma in the very first over. The swinging delivery that came from Mitchell Starc’s armory hit the bull’s eye and crashed the off-stump. Fans are calling this as the best delivery in the IPL.

Vaibhav Arora gave the second blow by sending back Travis Head for a duck. KKR bowlers dominated the match with the ball and restricted the Orange time to a mere 113 which is the lowest score in the IPL finals.

Pat Cummins had the highest score in SRH innings with 24 runs. With this, we can understand the way the match went. In response, KKR easily chased the target in just 10.3 overs.
