CM Vijay Gets Bad Shock From Supreme Court: What Next?

It is already known that one of the most infamous and unfortunate incidents in South Indian politics happened last year in the form of the horrible Karur stampede. This horrifying incident that happened in Tamil Nadu during the election rally of Vijay was extremely unfortunate.

Sadly, as many as 41 people had died in this hiatus that happened when Vijay was visiting this region which resulted in a huge public gathering and a crowd mismanagement turned out.

The consequences were so very severe that 41 people died. However, Vijay was extremely moved away by this incident, and he took certain measures after becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu to help the families.

Incidentally, Vijay set out on a mission to handover government jobs to the family members of the victims, and he even submitted the necessary documentation for the same. In fact, he recently handed over required number of papers for more than 35 families with regard to this government job position.

However, the Supreme Court has now issued a new order on the same, and this is not going to be a favourable judgement for the chief minister. The court pointed out that it is not within the merit guidelines to give government jobs at the disposal of the CM.

The Supreme Court pointed out that these jobs must be handed over based on the merit of the candidate and with adequate selection process rather than the sole decision of CM Vijay. Subsequently, this process could be put under hold now.

This comes shortly after the matter, High Court had rejected to impose any stay on the issuance of these jobs in the first place. So it has to be seen how the Supreme Court order would affect CM Vijay and his decision now.
