Suresh Gopi who is a Union Minister in the BJP government made sensational comments on his love for acting. He went on to say that he would feel saved if he was removed as the Minister for acting in films. Addressing a gathering he made these comments grabbing everyone’s attention.

He was present at an event held by the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce. At the event, Suresh Gopi said that he has a passion for acting, and leaving the passion is tough. He said that he sought permission to act in films and he is awaiting the permission.

Suresh Gopi said he heard many scripts and wanted to shoot. There are 20-22 films which I wanted to act in. I sought permission from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and he is yet to give the permission. When I said around 22 my request letter was set aside. He said permission will be given, Suresh Gopi said.

Talking about his political journey Suresh Gopi said that he did not wish for the post but he was given the Ministry for the people of Thrissur. My passion is cinema. If I was removed as Minister then I would consider myself saved, he added.

Suresh Gopi won the Thrissur MP seat helping BJP enter Kerala. As promised earlier he was taken into the Cabinet. The actor-turned-politician is the Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Tourism.
