There has been a lot of buzz around the second list of candidates from the TDP. The grand old party already announced the first list with 94 candidates. But a few seniors could not make it to the list raising many questions about their future. Competition between the leaders of alliance parties is also a major reason for this.

Now the TDP announced the second list with 34 candidates. The list provided more clarity on who would be the candidates for the TDP in the upcoming elections. Suspended YCP MLA also made it to the list.

Sitting MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary was given the Rajahmundry Rural seat yet again putting an end to the suspense. MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy who was suspended from YCP was announced as a candidate from the Atmakur seat. He was moved from his Venkatagiri seat to Atmakur.

The list can be seen as a mixed bag. The reason is that sitting candidates were picked as candidates and seniors were also picked in some seats.

There is a political buzz that the election notification can be out anytime soon. If the candidates are announced earlier then they'll have enough time for them to focus on the campaign activities and get along with the cadres.

It looks like the TDP understood this and announced two lists already. If the third list is also announced then the TDP’s army of candidates will be ready to face the elections.

There are 175 seats in the state and TDP got 144 seats as part of the alliance. BJP and Janasena were allocated 10 and 21 seats respectively. TDP announced 94 and 34 candidates in the first and second list respectively to give a big clarity.
