Telugu states have been witnessing rainfall for the past few days. A few areas are drowned and we saw a few areas in Hyderabad struggling with the water that even buses could not move properly. Agri fields in Andhra Pradesh were severely affected. Despite this, the supporters of TDP and Congress are said to be happy.

Yes, you heard it right. Congress and TDP always face criticism over issues that are not in their control. Opponents often allege that there will be drought if the parties are in power. TDP had a long history of facing criticism over this.

Be it in combined Andhra Pradesh or a divided state there was no rainfall in expected numbers adding fuel to the criticism. Between 2014 and 2019 the government took many measures to deal with the drought.

A few months back former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai came down severely on the Congress alleging that if Congress comes to power then drought will continue. This speaks volumes about the image Congress has.

But things have changed now and the Telugu states are witnessing rainfall and almost every water body is full of water. The projects are filled with water which is good news for the Telugu states.

With this, the political observers say that this would put a fullstop to the criticism against TDP and Congress. It's been just a few months since Congress and TDP came to power in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh respectively.

Months after assuming power the respective states are seeing good rainfall filling water in the water bodies. It looks like the ongoing situation will be a bit favorable to both the Congress and Telugu Desam Party governments. Social media is filled with posts from supporters rubbishing the criticism.
