The Volunteer system became a sensation in Andhra Pradesh in the wake of the upcoming elections. The Election Commission made it clear that the Volunteers should not be made a part of election duty and they should not be allowed to distribute the welfare schemes.

The Election body said that Volunteers should not give pension to the beneficiaries. This took a political turn as the ruling party leaders started targeting the opposition parties. They are alleging that the opposition parties complained against the pensions and want to stop the scheme.

Minister Botsa Satyanarayana alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is trying to create issues for the pensions and he is trying to create issues for the beneficiaries. His comments increased the political heat. The TDP gave a new twist to this.

TDP chief Chandrababu responded to the allegations and said that they did not complain to anyone against the pensions. The former Chief Minister said that the government is unable to pay the pensions on time and the leaders are trying to blame the party.

The pensions row in the state saw a big twist with the TDP leaders requesting to hand over the pension before the 5th of this month. Telugu Desam Party leaders met Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy to make the arrangements to hand over the pensions before the 5th.

The opposition leaders met the CS on pensions as the EC imposed restrictions on the Volunteers to stop them from distributing the pensions. They said that the distribution should be finished before the 5th of this month and a request has been made by the TDP. This is the new twist in the ongoing pension row.
