Like how one Friday can change the position of stars at the box office, one election is enough to change the position of parties.

Andhra Pradesh is an example of this. YCP slipped to the opposition while the opposition parties, TDP and Janasena came to power.
It was a one-sided victory as the alliance won 164 seats and YCP was restricted to just 11 seats. Despite the humiliating defeat, there is one thing for the YCP to cheer up. YCP recorded more vote share than the YCP in the Lok Sabha elections.
YCP recorded the fifth highest vote share in the country as per the information. This is news to cheer about as the party managed to stand at the fifth position while the TDP is said to be at the 7th position.
The news will surely lift the morale of the YCP after the defeat. YCP won the elections and three opposition parties contested together. Despite winning the majority of seats, TDP managed to get fewer votes percent than YCP.
While YCP contested alone, the three parties contested together in the elections. Despite this, TDP got less vote percentage while YCP got more percentage. After the defeat, YCP has been saying that it contested alone and faced the loss. Now the late report is an additional boost to this.
After the defeat, Jagan said that his party would bounce back again and they would come to power again. Now the report says that YCP had the highest vote share than the TDP which will surely boost its morale. With this, the opposition party might work even harder.
