TDP Or BJP: Who Gets The Remaining Cabinet Berth In AP?

It was a big day for the alliance in Andhra Pradesh as the new Cabinet took oath. The Governor administered the oath ceremony and 25 people were sworn in. While Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the Chief Minister,24 people were the Ministers. The cabinet is looking fresh as 17 MLAs were given a chance for the first time.

Earlier it was expected that 25 Cabinet Ministers would take oath. But only 24 Ministers took an oath(TDP-20, Janasena-3 and BJP-1). One berth is left vacant and this is grabbing everyone’s attention to see who would get the chance.

While there is no official word there are two versions on this. One version says that TDP might get the spot and the other version says that BJP might get the spot as it was given just one seat.

BJP might not be a big party in Andhra Pradesh. But it is a national party and is in power at the Centre. So it cannot be given just one seat. With this people are saying that the seat might be granted to the BJP to take its Cabinet berth count to two.

On the other hand, it is said that BJP might take the one berth as it won the highest number of seats. If we look at the Cabinet, a few communities were preferred like BCs, Kamma, Reddy, and Kapu. Due to this, a few communities were missed out. To give a chance to the left-out communities the leaders might get a chance.
