Things are not going well with the opposition party in Andhra Pradesh TDP. On one hand, the party has been trying hard to win the general elections in order to survive. On the other hand, the contrasting developments are taking place. The party leaders are on a spree of shocking the party leadership.

For the past few days, we have been seeing how Kesnineni Nani’s episode is showing stars to the TDP. After he said he would resign as an MP, his daughter resigned as the Corporator. She formally tendered her resignation and there is no clarity on what the Mayor would say.

It looks like it is the turn of another MP Galla Jayadev to give a jolt to the party. Reports say that he would not contest the upcoming MP elections from the Guntur seat. He won two consecutive elections from the seat. However, the MP might not contest the elections.

As per the information that is coming from the media reports, Galla Jaydev wants to stay away from active politics due to various reasons. With this, he might face the next elections as an MP. If at all he wants to contest the elections he might try his luck as an MLA.

Galla Jaydev is into business and his family runs the Amara Raja battery company. Recently his plant was moved to Telangana from Andhra Pradesh due to various issues. The issue even went to the notice of the Court.

The issues that are kept against the battery company are said to be the reason behind the MP taking a tough call. To be away from such issues in the future, the sitting MP reportedly wants to distance himself from active politics so that he can keep full focus on the business.

If Galla Jaydev backs out Sujana Chowdary might come in given the prominence the Kamma community in the Guntur region enjoys. While there is no official confirmation on this, media reports hint the same.
