A techie went through a horror movie by advancing in the name of marriage.
Going into details, a person working with a London-based IT company came to Bengaluru for office work. He wanted to marry a girl here. He enrolled his name in a Matrimonial company. In the process, he met a girl named Sanvi Arora. They got connected easily. They used to talk frequently on the phone.
Due to growing friendship, the IT employee wanted to tie the knot. The concerned lady made the techie more advanced. However, the techie could not realize that he was being trapped. He made a video call to her and closely moved with her. But little does he know that what he was doing is being recorded. Later, she started harassing him and showed him hell literally.
The lady sent the techie the video she had recorded which gave him a big shock. She started blackmailing him. Having faced a shock with this, he pleaded with her to not make the video public. She started demanding money from him. The victim did not know what to do as the harassment did not stop even after paying Rs 1.14 crore. With no option left, the victim approached the White Field police.
The police swung into action after listening to the techie. They stepped in to stop the lady from continuing the cybercrime further. They blocked Rs 80 lakhs in her bank account from transferring to other accounts. A detailed investigation is underway and a search is on to nab the lady.
