Videos circulating online show a massive fire engulfing the Aqdasiyeh oil depot in northeastern Tehran after reported Israeli airstrikes. The facility, located near the end of Arash Highway in the Sohank area, is a major fuel storage and distribution center supplying petroleum products across the Iranian capital.
Footage captured by residents and drivers shows large explosions followed by towering flames and thick columns of smoke rising high above the complex. The blaze lit up the night sky over Tehran, with powerful shockwaves reportedly heard in nearby neighborhoods as the fire spread through fuel storage tanks.
According to reports, Israeli strikes targeted several fuel storage facilities in and around Tehran as part of the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. The attack marks one of the first instances in which major oil infrastructure in the Iranian capital has been directly hit during the ongoing hostilities.
Authorities said the depot plays a critical role in storing and distributing fuel for the Tehran region, raising concerns that damage to the facility could disrupt domestic energy supply. Emergency crews were reportedly deployed to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other storage tanks within the complex.
The strike has further intensified tensions in the Middle East, with analysts warning that attacks on energy infrastructure could trigger retaliatory actions and potentially impact regional oil markets.
