Big Step From Telangana Government Concerning Gaddar Awards!

Gaddar is a celebrated personality in the state. His songs were actively used during the Telangana state movement. The Telangana government led by Revanth Reddy decided to honour the singer-writer and hence the Nandi awards were replaced with the Gaddar awards. Talent in the industry would be honoured with the awards.

Now the government took a big step in this and a committee was set up to take care of things. The committee will take care of formulating modalities, rules, and regulations besides nomenclature and logo for the Gaddar Awards. An official order was issued by the Telangana Film Television and Theatre Development Corporation in this regard.

Noted filmmaker B Narsing Rao is appointed as the Chairman of the body while a few members of the film industry were given a chance in the committee including veteran personalities too.

One of the leading producers Dil Raju is the vice-chairman of the committee while famous personalities like K Raghavendra Rao, D Suresh Babu, K Chandra Bose, and others are in the committee.

There are around 14 advisory members in the committee namely- K Raghavendra Rao, Ande Sree, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Allu Aravind, Gummadi Vennela, Tanikella Bharani, D Suresh Babu, K Chandra Bose, R Narayana Murthy, Vandematharam Srinivas, Allani Sridhar, Sana Yadi Reddy, Harish Shankar and Yeldandi Venu.

People from different crafts were appointed as advisory members by the department for the awards.
