Telangana Travelling On Same Path As AP In Liquor Brands?

Liquor is one of the crucial income areas for the governments and this is why the government won't take a tough stand on this usually. Every year we see the sales numbers going up. When the bids are called for the stalls we can see a big massive competition and people spending big amounts to win.

The youngest state in India Telangana has been seeing a big controversy over beer brands. The opposition party is accusing the Telangana government of alleged liquor scam by giving a green signal to companies facing allegations. This is a crucial issue in the state.

Som Distilleries and Breweries Ltd was permitted to sell the beer in the state. This led to a big issue with the opposition BRS questioning the motive behind this. The party leaders are alleging that the Congress leaders have ties with the company.

Amid this, reports are saying that the beer brands were slowly launched in the market without much noise. A Madhya Pradesh-based company which is said to be manufacturing liquor and beer in other states was also permitted to sell beer in Telangana.

As per the reports, the brands are available in some liquor stalls grabbing everyone’s attention. With this, a section of people are drawing a comparison between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in terms of liquor brands.

There are a few brands of liquor available in Andhra Pradesh and we cannot find the brands in other states. They are raising doubt on whether Telangana is also travelling on the same path as AP in terms of brands.

It's been just six months since the Revanth Reddy-led Congress party came to power in Telangana. However, the new government is facing criticism on a few issues and liquor brands joined the row.
