The ruling BRS may find the going tough but not tough enough. This is the verdict of the Sri Atma Sakshi Survey, conducted across the state of Telangana. The survey says that the BRS is sait to lose significant vote, but will still manage to retain the majority in the upcoming elections.

According to the survey, whose results were published on Monday, the BRS is likely to lose up to 4 per cent votes. In the 2018 elections, it secured 46.8 per cent votes and won 88 seats. This time around, the party is likely to get up to 42.5 per cent votes. The party might get between 63 to 70 seats this time, says the survey.

The congress, according to the survey, will get an 8 per cent vote over the last elections. In the last elections, it got 28.43 per cent votes, while it would get 36.5 per cent votes this time. It's seat tally too would go up from 19 seats to a maximum of 43 seats. So, the increase in the votes would not translate into a majority for the Congress party.

As for the BJP, it too would increase its vote percentage. The BJP, which got up to 7 per cent votes in the 2018 elections, will get up to 10.73per cent vote. The seat tally too is likely to go up from 1seat in the 2018 election to five this time, says the survey. The survey predicts that the MIM will get almost the same percent of votes and seats
