Telugu Student Tragically Dies in Arizona Lake Accident

A heartbreaking incident occurred in Arizona, USA, when Abhishek Singhakolli, a 26-year-old Telugu student from Andhra Pradesh lost his life after falling through the ice at Woods Canyon Lake. The incident took place on December 22 in Coconino County where Abhishek was enjoying a day by the frozen lake.

According to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, Abhishek was a student at Arizona State University (ASU). The authorities recovered his body on the morning of December 23. Jon Paxton from the Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Abhishek had come from India to pursue higher education in the United States.

Two others accompanying Abhishek also fell through the ice but managed to escape safely. The accident occurred just 10-15 feet from the lake's shore, underscoring the dangers of walking on thin ice during winter.

Tragically, this is not the first such incident in the area. In December 2022, three individuals lost their lives at the same lake under similar circumstances.
