Tough Day For Thalapathy Vijay @ Court!

Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay had a busy day at court today as he had multiple cases that are in different stages of hearing. Well, one is obviously regarding the divorce proceedings filed by his wife Sangeeta, the other is regarding the discrepancy in the election affidavit.

On one hand, Vijay received a reprimand from the Madras High Court for filing the election affidavit with discrepancies and altered numbers. It was pointed out that Vijay had filed different denominations of assets in the Perambur affidavit as compared to the Trichy East affidavit.

It has been established in principal that there was a difference of hundred crore in the two affidavits. The court pointed out that it is not right thing to do as filing the affidavit with two different assets valuation is against the regulation.

This was followed by more strict action as the court further referred this case to the election commission and also the income tax commission of India. This could essentially mean that Vijay could find himself in deep trouble if the differences in the two affidavits is not matched ultimately.

And then we have more of a personal development regarding Vijay as the divorce case filed by his wife Sangeeta also came to a hearing today.

The interesting thing here is that Vijay and his wife Sangeeta had applied for virtual presentation at the court, which was rejected by the bench. It has been confirmed by the court that both Vijay and Sangeeta must appear in front of the court physically without fail.

The next hearing has been postponed to June 15, and both Vijay and his wife will have to be appearing for the same in person. This is another significant setback to Vijay, who appeared to have preferred to appear virtually.
