After nearly 500 years the temple was constructed. Ayodhya was lit up for the grand occasion and the whole city turned saffron for the occasion.
As the temple was inaugurated, we are hearing comments that the old slogan of Mandir wahi banega came into reality after a long time. Those who closely follow politics know how old the slogan is and it has a big history.
The slogan started getting the momentum in the 1980s. But in the 1990s it was so popular among the right wing and the political spectrum also started seeing the wide range of the usage of the phrase.
Since the past few years, the slogan gained even more importance. Back in 2019, the Supreme Court gave the verdict saying that the disputed land should be used for the temple constructions. However, the temple was not built immediately.
This gave an opportunity for the opposition parties to taunt the BJP. The likes of AAP, Shiv Sena, and others openly said Mandir Wahi Banayenge... Par Date Nahi Batayenge. Despite having the image of the Hindutva party Shiv Sena used this mandir jibes.
But there is no space for any further jibes and the Mandir was completed and opened. Keeping this in simple words, the Mandir Wahi Banega slogan finally was achieved and became a reality in society. It took a very long time. After a few decades, the dream was achieved in the temple city.
The Mandir Wahi Banega was a popular slogan in the Indian politics. The popular slogan in politics finally became a reality and we witnessed the memorable moment today.
