Sudha Murthy is a popular author too. Her books were adopted as Television series. Her Dollar Bahu novel was adapted as a TV series with the same name by the Zee TV channel. Sudha Murthy’s Runa was made as a film in Marathi.

Across the areas, the trust renders its help. The trust improved the infrastructure in the government schools by arranging books and computers.

After the President nominated Sudha Murthy to Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated her by expressing his happiness over her nomination. The Prime Minister said that it is an example of the 'Nari Shakti’.

When she was nominated to the Rajya Sabha, Sudha Murthy expressed her happiness and said that the nomination coming on Women’s Day made her happiness double.
