We are living in an era of Indian-origin people achieving success across the sectors. Earlier we saw Indian-origin people becoming heads of the global firms. Now they are into politics and they are taking up big positions like legislators, Mayors, and Senators. Rishi Sunak was the UK Prime Minister in the last term.

Looking at the US, Kamala Harris became a sensation as she became the US Vice President. She actively campaigned for the party and held a big position. Cut to 2024 she became the US President candidate in a miraculous turn of events.

Incumbent President Joe Biden stepping down created a space for her to be in the race. While stepping down he endorsed her name. With this, the focus went on to the mood of Indian-Americans who are a decking factor in many states.

Now a poll said that the majority of Indian-Americans are with Kamala Harris. Out of the total participants in the survey, 54 percent said that they would vote for Kamala Harris. Donald Trump has the support of just 35 percent. Joe Biden who quit the race sees 46 percent support.

Indian Americans are not in big numbers as far as the population is concerned. But their population is a handful to be a deciding factor and whom they support would have an edge over others. We have seen this in the last elections.

They supported the Democratic party in the elections due to the negative image of Donald Trump over his promise of reducing the Visa numbers and preferring the locals over foreign workers. As a result, Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump. Understanding this Trump assured Green cards for the foreign students who finish their graduation.

In the poll, the participants said that they would support Kamala Harris who is the presidential candidate of the Democrats. She might have an edge over Donald Trump given the trend. So let us wait and see.
