Anti Indian Wave In Australia: What’s Really Happening?
Now Australia has done something very interesting as a patriot has come up with a strong opinion against Indians.
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 Feb 2026 10:00 PM ISTIt is already known that several countries across the globe have been fighting against international immigration population and Australia is no different to the same. Now Australia has done something very interesting as a patriot has come up with a strong opinion against Indians.
Thomas Sewell, a well-known Australian patriot, appeared in court in Melbourne on 23 February 2026 over charges linked to a 2024 counter-protest against immigration.
During a media interview, he repeatedly criticised the press and repeated anti-immigration stand, claiming Australians don’t want thousands or millions of illegal Indian immigrants staying in the country, and warning against Australia becoming a third world country.
Sewell’s comments reflect his long-standing white nationalist agenda, which has drawn widespread condemnation.
The extremist group he once led formally disbanded in January 2026, ahead of proposed federal hate speech laws designed to ban organisations promoting racist ideology. The group said it was dissolving to avoid being outlawed, though critics see this as a tactic to avoid legal scrutiny.
Sewell has faced numerous charges over violent and offensive behaviour linked to past protests, including harassment of police and involvement in attacks on protest camps, but remains an Australian citizen.
Calls to deport him to New Zealand have gained public attention, though strict citizenship laws make removal unlikely.
Australia has also seen large March for Australia anti-immigration rallies, attended by tens of thousands, some of which have featured hate speech. It has to be seen if this hate campaign against India would continue in Australia in the near future as well.
