Adieu BRS!! This seems to be the mantra of all those who till the other day vied to join the BRS in Andhra Pradesh. Now that the party has lost the Telangana state badly, political rats are deserting the sinking ship that the BRS is. If our sources serve us right, leading the pack of deserters is none other than the AP state unit president of the BRS Thota Chandrasekhar himself. Sources say that he is all set to resign from the BRS and is said to be looking to join the Jana Sena party.

Thota Chandrasekhar wanted to contest from either Rajahmundry or Kakinada for the Lok Sabha on the BRS ticket. But, now, the BRS has decided to focus all its energies on saving its citadel in Telangana. The party has reportedly decided not to contest from Andhra Pradesh. As a result, Thota is now said to be looking to join the Jana Sena and contest from any of these two seats. Another senior leader and former minister Ravela Kishore Babu too is said to be preparing ground to join the YSRCP. Ravela has already moved in and out of the TDP, BJP and the Jana Sena.

Recently, Thota Chandrasekhar has met Megastar Chiranjeevi. Though Thota is claiming that he has met Chiru to congratulate him on winning the coveted Padmavibhushan, not many are willing to believe it. If all goes well, Thota is all set to join the Jana Sena on February 4. Another Kapu face, Balashourie, who is till now in the YSRCP as an MP, too would join the Jana Sena on the same day. Balashourie has been told that he would be fielded from Machilipatnam lok sabha seat in the upcoming general elections.

Meanwhile, there are unconfirmed reports that Pawan Kalyan could ask Thota to contest from Guntur West assembly constituency. Sources say that the TDP is planning to give Guntur West to the Jana Sena as part of the seat-sharing arrangement. Sources say that more BRS leaders from Andhra Pradesh are likely to desert the party and join either the YSRCP or the Jana Sena.
