Indians Going To US Illegally, Got Kidnapped Badly!

For the last few years, the sheer volume of Indians travelling abroad and particularly to the United States has been going up. While a significant portion of the population travels to the United States legally through documentation, there is a small potion that travels illegally as well.

There are multiple border countries surrounding the United States, which can lead to illegal migration despite the best efforts of the country to stop the same.

But these roots come with natural disasters and intense political scrutiny, which can be extremely detrimental in nature and now we have one such story in development.

Three young residents from Gujarat, named Mamta Chavda, Rutvik Jansari, and Mayuri Solanki have gone missing after leaving India on September 20, 2026, through local travel agents.

Their families, who paid over Rs 70 lakh per person for a journey promised via Canada, allege the trio was abducted in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Three days after losing contact, relatives received a ransom call demanding Rs 1 crore for their release. The fact that these three Indians who had been travelling to the United States through legal means have not been kidnapped and being paid ransom is an example of the hardships associated with this journey.

We naturally hear several such stories involving antisocial elements that directly affect the Indian population that travels to the United States illegally. This interesting story is another addition to the long list.
