The holy Tirumala shrine has been one of the most important and culturally significant places of worship for the Hindu community over decades. In accordance, a massive mechanism - Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam Board - TTD is empowered with the job of regulating the activities here.

Coming to the topic now, the newly formed TTD board under the leadership of BR Naidu has started to work on the new set of regulations and here is a look into the same.

The TTD has made it very clear that non-Hindus are no longer permitted to work at the TTD. All the other-religion TTD workers will immediately be transferred to the AP government's jurisdiction under the VRS program. Henceforth, only Hindus are employed to work for TTD.

TTD Chairman BR Naidu said, "We mandate declaration for other-religion people to set foot in Tirumala. If so, how can we let other-religion people to work at the TTD?". This is one of the most significant moves by the TTD.

Also, the time constraint for the Sarvadarshan mechanism has been shifted to less than 3 hours. There will be efforts to ensure that Sarvadarshan pilgrims get through with the Darshan in 2-3 hours, as opposed to 10+ hours.

From now on, no one is allowed to speak politics in front of the Tirumala temple. It is banned to speak politically motivated topics at Tirumala and this will be strictly enforced. Adding to that, all the guesthouses in Tirumala are to be generically named after Balaji and no one is permitted to have private names for the respective guesthouses.
